Mari Brennan Barrera
As Vice President of the Eos Foundation, Mari Brennan Barrera oversees the foundation’s grantmaking and operations. Prior to joining the Eos team, Mari was Executive Director of the Highland Street Foundation, a Massachusetts-based family philanthropy that supports organizations serving addresses the needs and concerns of children and their families.
She previously served as Deputy Director for Hunt Alternatives Fund, a private foundation that advances innovative and inclusive approaches to social change, where she oversaw the development of new grant-making programs in Boston and nationally, and assisted in the management of the Institute for Inclusive Security, a global initiative to promote the inclusion of all stakeholders, especially women, in peace processes.
Mari began her career as a community organizer in California with Neighbor to Neighbor after graduating from the University of Connecticut, and then worked in Texas with the Industrial Areas Foundation and the National Estuary Program. Mari serves on the board of Associated Grant Makers, a regional organization for funders, and serves on the Finance Committee in Natick, MA.
