Poll by Eos Grantee Shows Voters’ Concern about Poverty Issues

A new poll by Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity , an Eos Foundation grantee, revealed that despite a significant increase in media coverage of poverty issues during the presidential campaign, voters want even more information. The poll of 1000 likely voters revealed that 56% felt the media still haven’t focused enough attention on the subject—a finding that cuts across party lines.

Eos Grantee Teams with Congressman McGovern to Raise Hunger Awareness

Dr. Deborah Frank—founder of Eos grantee C-SNAP , a nonpartisan research and public policy center focused on children’s health and well-being—recently teamed with Congressman Jim McGovern to raise awareness about hunger in Massachusetts. Close to 166,000 Bay State children are deemed “food insecure,” yet hunger in the Bay State is too often a hidden problem.
