Eos Grantee Helps Women Entrepreneurs Break into Corporate Markets
September 2008
The Center for Women and Enterprise (CWE) — an Eos Foundation grantee — is hosting its Destination Success conference at Bentley College on September 26th to help women business owners increase sales to corporate clients. The Eos Foundation believes family economic security is critical to ensuring children’s healthy futures, and CWE, which has aided over 14,500 women and men since its inception in 1995, has been an important partner in helping aspiring entrepreneurs of all income levels access the education, training, technical assistance, and capital necessary to start their own businesses.
Destination Success is an annual conference and networking opportunity for women business owners who are — or hope to become — certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC certification is accepted by thousands of corporations and a number of federal and government agencies who seek to do business with women-owned enterprises. The event allows entrepreneurs to meet directors of supplier diversity and learn concrete strategies for breaking into corporate markets. A new track this year will specifically address the needs of women-owned companies working in the Fortune 1000 marketplace.
The event takes place at the LaCava Center at Bentley College, 175 Forest Street, Waltham, on Friday, September 26th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Breakfast will be served. Tickets are $100 for WBENC Certified participants and $125 general admission. Click here to sign up or learn more, or contact Ryann Price at 617.532.0225, or by email at rprice@cweonline.org.
